The Adventist Book Centre has been supporting a drive to send books to the Solomons to help raise literacy there.  Our dedicated customers have donated about $1,000 worth of books already.  

We’re currently trying to put together class sets of the Jesus Calling Bible Storybook so that classes can read and improve their English together.

Loanne Liligetto, English teacher at Tenakoga Adventist High School, just loves the book, Jesus Calling.  She says, “ Having books like this will encourage our students to read.  We do not have many books in our library at the moment and the books that we have are always in use.  Any books you send will be greatly appreciated”.

Greater Sydney Conference has a sister relationship with the Solomon Islands.  The books are being collected by Books for the Solomons (see the Books for the Solomons Facebook page).  Over 140 boxes of books have already been dispatched to the Solomons through this ministry.
