Five church members at Strathfield Chinese Church had a vision to evangelise the Chinese people in Eastwood and the surrounding suburbs. 

They started by meeting and praying together; studying the Bible and Ellen G. White’s writings; poring over Jesus’ Great Commission and having discussions in church board meetings and with the Conference Office.  After a long search, they were grateful to God to finally find Eastwood Hall. Their first meeting was on 21 June 2014. 

18 April 2015, Madam Chen, an 80-year old Chinese doctor found the Eastwood Church from reading a health seminar ad in the Chinese newspaper.  Ever since, she has come to church and has fallen in love with the members and the church’s teaching and gotten baptised.
