Singers are invited to audition for an exciting new chamber ensemble based in Sydney! The role of Program Coordinator at Camp Somerset is a key ministry position for the South Queensland Conference. This full-time position leading the Outdoor Program Department of Camp Somerset will be offered to the successful candidate as an initial twelve (12) month fixed term contract position.
This key position offers a variety of challenges as part of the overall Camp Somerset Team. The successful applicant needs to be a practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and must share an active commitment to the Church’s mission. The successful candidate will have extensive industry experience and a Cert IV (minimum) in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent, demonstrate good communication, relational skills and ability to cooperatively work with other staff and management of the camp to achieve positive outcomes for ministry on the site.
The successful applicant must possess a Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment or the ability to acquire before commencement, a satisfactory police and Adsafe Check is also a requirement.

3am Ryde Seventh-day Adventist church run a food pantry every Thursday night at 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The food pantry seeks to provide opportunity for people in need to obtain healthy and fresh groceries at a nominal cost. Piano Praise is now available from the Adventist Book Centre stores in Epping and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. It is also available online from:

Piano Praise is a collection of 57 hymns. It includes a full suite of resources, and is ideal for congregational use – with or without live musicians. The suite (all items available separately) includes: a CD set with piano recordings; a DVD set with the same recordings and lyrics on screen (with Australian scenery); music books; and a words-only booklet. The musical score contained in the music books matches the recordings, so you can play or sing along.

The DVD set also includes PowerPoint files, so you can show the lyrics on-screen when you have live musicians playing from the music books.

Transposed editions of the music books are available. The primary edition contains hymn-style notation for Piano and SATB vocal, and includes guitar chords (with fingering). The transposed editions are available for Bb, Eb and F instruments (using two treble clefs). The use of these books in combination will allow most church bands or ensembles to provide music for their instrumentalists, without requiring any further transposing or re-arranging.

There are many schools throughout the Islands with very limited or no resources.
The Adventist Book Centre is part of this project to send donated books purchased at the ABC to the Solomons.
We have already sent books and one book in particular had the schools very excited. Jesus Calling is a beautiful book they would love to use as class readers.
