2015 marks the 25th year of Clean-up Australia Day — a day on which hundreds of thousands of Australians unite to remove rubbish from streets, bushland, parks and waterways.

This year, the Bankstown Pathfinders and Adventurers got together to participate in Clean Up Australia Day at Bass Hill.  Not only was it a chance for them to care for their environment, it also fit into the lesson the children have been learning about Creation.  It reinforced ideas about how to help keep our environment clean and the value of community service.  On top of that, the Pathfinders and Adventurers were able to connect to other volunteers who wanted to learn more about the children’s ministry and activities that we take part in.  All had a wonderful time and Bass Hill McDonalds offered the children soft serve ice creams which topped their day.
