Blacktown and Mountain View Churches recently collaborated resources to deliver an excellent CHIP program with 22 graduates. CHIP, an acronym for Coronary Health Improvement Project, is an affordable, four week lifestyle education program with thousands of graduates world-wide. Through dynamic and compelling live and video presentations, CHIP provides tools and strategies for making lifestyle choices that will stick.
Participants enjoyed video presentations by Dr Diehl, CHIP founder, and followed the CHIP diet and prescribed lifestyle during the duration of the program. At the end of program the mean weight loss for the 22 graduates was 3.5 per cent (2.77 kilograms) of their body weight. The mean cholesterol for the group also dropped from 5.19 to an impressive 4.48.
Mildred, now a CHIP graduate, was initially skeptical about CHIP but now says, “I’m a believer after joining the course and following the CHIP diet and lifestyle.” She now plans to attend the Australian CHIP Summit in February to be held at Avondale College, Cooranbong.
