We’re on the eve of the largest evangelistic effort across the Greater Sydney Conference in over thirty years. In just a couple of days people from all over Sydney will gather at one of the 27 locations throughout the city to hear the opening presentation of The Last Empire.

It seems like it was only yesterday that the bold idea was originally pitched. From there it has gained momentum, exceeding all expectations, and winning over numbers of supporters along the way. As of this morning, more than 4,000 people had booked their seats to be present at one of the locations this coming Friday night.

In Norfolk Island, 22 people have booked to attend the opening presentation. For an island population of 1,600 this is a great blessing. To put this number into perspective, 22 people in Norfolk Island is the equivalent of 63,000 people attending in Sydney. One can only pray, after all, 2013 is the Year of Harvest in Greater Sydney Conference.

Presenters and venue managers have met monthly for the past 12 months to prepare for this coming Friday night and beyond. Churches have rallied in prayer, individuals have prayed for their family and friends, many have reached out and invited someone to attend the meetings.

From a bold vision to a great collaborative effort, as people have stepped out faith, God has blessed beyond measure.
