When I asked retired Adventist Medical Superintendent, Dr Currow what he had learned about leadership

in the many years he led the medical team at the then prestigious Royal Newcastle Public Hospital, he said to build morale and command respect it was very important to really believe in one’s staff; to affirm them at every opportunity but if there were clear breaches of integrity, safety or corruption to be absolutely ruthless and dismiss staff who continue in these practices immediately. What can this teach us about Christian leadership? Simply this, believe in the good but have zero tolerance for evil. Expect Godly behaviour from church members, affirm and love them but recognise sin and discard it immediately.
