Frank Ropati was ordained on 13 September. His ministry has been played out at Xcell, a cell-based church plant targeting mainly postmodern young adults, many of whom had drifted away from God and His church. He has also, during the past five years, served the Bidwell Tongan, Campbelltown and Jacob’s Well congregations.
Frank’s wife Charlotte is fully involved with him in ministry. She leads worship through music and partners Frank in running retreats and workshops in special-need life issues. Together they make a powerful team, greatly appreciated by many whom they have rescued for the Lord.
Pastor Eddy Johnson, Frank’s first internship supervisor, opened the service; the sermon was preached by Frank’s mentor, Pastor Paul Siope of New Zealand; the charge was shared by Pastors Brendan Pratt and Michael Worker; and the ordination prayer was led by Dr Ray Roennfeldt, president of Avondale College.
