Students from Macarthur Adventist College (MAC) recently spent a week at Heritage College, Melbourne, leading out in a special Week of Prayer. The nine students, along with College chaplain, Mr Andre Afamasanga, presented on the theme, Mission Possible, which included inspirational talks and skits.
“These students have demonstrated excellent leadership qualities in our chapel programs at MAC and it has been a real blessing and privilege to work alongside them in Melbourne,” says Mr Afamasanga. In addition to leading out in the Week of Prayer, the students spent the day in the school with their peers at Heritage College and conducted activities in the evening. They also led out in the Friday night program and Sabbath service at the Heritage College Community Church.
“We have found these trips to be an excellent addition to our spiritual and leadership development at MAC,” say Mr Afamasanga. “Allowing students to serve on these excursions has been beneficial in developing their faith.” This is the second time students from MAC have conducted a Week of Prayer at Heritage College. The relationship between the two schools started in 2009, when Heritage College students, under the leadership of chaplain, Faye Stothers, visited Sydney to conduct in a Week of Prayer at MAC.
